The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has now identified the Evergreen High School shooter as 16-year-old Desmond Holly. He shot two other students on Wednesday afternoon before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Our latest update from the Denver Post reports that one of the students is still in critical condition. According to police, shots were fired both inside and outside the school building, and law enforcement officers who responded found the shooter within five minutes of arriving, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jacki Kelley said. Kelley also told reporters that over 100 police officers from the surrounding area quickly worked to get to the school to assist.
