US President Donald Trump is demanding for the disarmament of Hamas as his Board of Peace pledges $7 billion to Gaza’s reconstruction. Along with the financial commitment, President Trump claims the board will also provide personnel to assist with the efforts. In a post to Truth Social, President Trump said: “Member states have pledged more than $5 billion toward the Gaza humanitarian and reconstruction efforts and have committed thousands of personnel to the international stabilisation force. “Very importantly, Hamas must uphold its commitment to full and immediate demilitarisation.”
