President Donald Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan announced this week that significant has been made in the operation to locate and detain illegal immigrants in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Homan explained that he suggested to President Trump that it was time to end the surge operation and that President Trump agreed. Homan took over the operation at the end of January, following the shooting deaths of two protesters within weeks of each other. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and other local and state officials have held news conference to share their thoughts on the new developments.
