The Tyler County Judge has issued a Burn Ban that went into effect this morning due to the high fire danger.Violators of the ban can face fines of up to $500 for each violation.
No other counties in our region have yet issued burn bans, although a number of wildfires have broken out in recent days. The freeze super-dried vegetation, leading to an increased fire danger.
Polk, Trinity, and Angelina Counties in Deep East Texas have issued burn bans.
